Since joining the military I’ve been fortunate enough to do a lot of travel. I’ve been to Gaum, Japan, Okinawa (yes I know that’s Japan, but it’s not really "Japan"), Hong Kong, Malaysia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Mexico, and the Republic of Korea. I’ve also done a lot of domestic travel as well. As a matter of fact there was one year I spent over 230 days traveling (that’s not including vacations). Spending that much time on the road isn’t for everyone and my family and friends often ask me how I do it. But honestly, traveling has become such a part of my life that I don’t understand how people are content staying in one place.
Currently I’m attending school, so I’ve only been able to spend about a week traveling this year. And to tell you the truth I’m beginning to get more than a little restless. I think it will take a 12 hour plane ride, a ride on a bullet train, a 20 minute wait in a line for a rental car, an oppurtunity to try and explain to customs agent who doesn’t speak a word of English what an oscilloscope is, a chance to realize I’m completely lost, or to spend the first 30 seconds after I wake up trying to remember where I am before I’ll feel at ease again. Unfortunately, however it’ll be five more months until I get to do any of the above. So I guess the only option I’m left with is hard liquor.
Being a Realtor has allowed me to see many different houses and neighborhoods. In my opinion Hawaii is one of the best places to live because of it’s diversity, atmosphere, climate and overall "Aloha" spirit. After a long day at work it’s nice to drive home by the ocean, or near the majesitc mountains or surrounded by beautiful native plants, greenery and a clear blue sky.
Being a Realtor my goal is to make peoples dream of owning a home a memorable and enjoyable experience. There are many things that a Realtor has to take care of in order to accomplish this, most of what the client doesn’t see or know about. That’s why you would or should have a Realtor help you in purchasing or selling a house. In my practice, that’s what I like to call it, I ‘m always gaining knowledge and experince through each transaction. It is honestly an endless learning jounery, no matter how long you’ve been a Realtor. My number one priority is to make the client "happy" and "satisfied" , that has much more rewards than monetary value.
At camp we caught fish with nets in the reefs.

I’m in Washington D.C. — it’s my first business trip! Our training classes start tomorrow. Tonight, I ironed my shirts; usually I just go to work wrinkly. I feel so grown-up! Oh, but I couldn’t really iron my sleeves.
WORKING VISA
Today had to be one ofthe ottest days ive ever been thorugh. yesterday, it was pouring cats and dogs, but today it mustve been over 90 degrees! Its really burning in Oahu!
Music is now one of my favorite things, especially now that the weeks are so boring. It helps me work, and soothes me to sleep at night. How could you live without music? Rock is my favorite kind.
What I loved about Japan was the people. It was really nice to meet so many beautiful people. Many Japanese people are really sweet, especially in more peaceful places like Sapporo. It is a fascinating culture.
I liked the snow in Hoakkaido and peaceful atmosphere of Mastuyama. I loved the onsens. I got some good massage treatments in Osaka. I learnt a lot more about the massage industry in Japan.
I liked how clean Japan is and how safe it is. I also enjoyd the food and found it healthy. It is not any more difficult to get vegetarian food in Japan then in America
I found it interesting to see that Japan is more traditional in its gender roles
I like this. I think Japanese women are very feminine.
The main thing I didnt like was smoking in restaurants….. It seemed strange how clean Japanese people are and respectful of each other but then how they will smoke in a public place and make the air so dirty…..Some parts of Europe are like this too like when I was in Spain. As a non smoker it drove me nuts…..I even went into an organic cafe and people were even smoking there. They have non smoking areas but still the smell of smoke even in those areas is very strong.
That would be my main thing I didnt like, everything else I really enjoyed although Tokyo train stations can also be overwhelming.
Overall i really enjoyed my trip and look forward to the next one.
My favourite thing about Japan was Japanese people are really nice and I made a lot of friends there, then we saw the Big Buddha in Kamakura. I wnet into the Buddha.
What I didnt like about Japan was that lots of people smoke and it was smelly in restaurants.
I liked it that was really busy. but I didnt like the noise in Tokyo.
Many people come to Hawaii for the beautiful beaches, amazing weather, and of course the island style recreation that has made Hawaii the most popular tourist destination in the world.
Those things are great for tourists, but I live here. 24/7 365 days a year. I can’t lay on the beach all day, I have to make a living! And living in Hawaii is much different than visiting. As much as I like a little island getaway every now and again, my favorite thing about Hawaii has nothing to do with the points listed above. My favorite thing is the お茶 (green tea)!
Lucky for me I can walk into any convenient store or grocery store and pick up a bottle of お茶 anytime I feel like it. Also, there are large selections of looses leaf teas for brewing for when I want something a little more dignified.
Compared to mainland USA, Hawaii is a world of its own. In California we had to go out of our way to find any good お茶, unless we wanted the disgusting hyper-sweet teas from Lipton, Sobe, or Snapple. And don’t get me started on herbal teas!!!
