Music plays a big part in my life. I have a small 20 gigabyte MP3 Player that I carry with me and I listen to it often. Music helps me work faster and can also improve my mood when I am grumpy or sad. My favorite types of music are blues, jazz, electronic and hip-hop. Some of the artists that I have recently been listening to the most are Squarepusher, The Roots, Orbital, Yoko Kanno, Beck and the Deftones. I also enjoy playing and composing music as well, but I have not practiced either since my bamboo flute broke about a month and a half ago. I also like to make music compilations and give them to my friends because sharing is fun.
I have just returned from Seattle. I went over Thanksgiving break to spend time with my family. I had a really great time there, but the weather was freezing. I had not seen snow in a long time and it was a pleasant surprise to wake up in the morning and see the ground covered with a blanket of snow.
Mariko san, Domo arigato Gozaimasu. I am so happy to receive your letter and stamps. I have just returned back to Hawaii from a short trip to Seattle. It was a nice surprise to hear you had made those stamps and sent them to Nacos.It felt like I was opening up a early Christmas present. Anyways I just loved them and your letter I believe you have great skills and the eyes of an artist. The stamps were so simple, yet so beautiful as well.

今日の深夜勤は同期３人だった。
なんとかナースコールの嵐を乗り越え、終了。
でも、終わったら昼前になった。
ということで３人で昼ご飯を食べに行くことになった。
眠い．．．でも行きたい。
和食のバイキングに行った☆
おいしいかった。
話の流れで、もう師走になる、しこの一年自分にあったいい事を言おうってことになった。「いい事」…。
改めて一年振り返ると何あったかなぁ～と考えてしまう。
ウチのいい事は、「８月に大学のみんなに会えたこと」と答えた。
もっといっぱいあるんやけどね～。
んで、もう1人の子がめっちゃ笑顔で、
「ウチは、毎日毎日がいい日なの☆」と言った。
この前も、「私のいいところは～～～っていういうところなの☆」と恥らいなく言ってた。超ポジティブなその子はなんか「いい」と思った。
なんかものすごくかわいいと思った。
窓辺でずうっと咲き続けていてくれたアイビーゼラニューム 丈夫で栽培しやすく、赤やピンク、白などの花を次々に咲かせるゼラニウム。鉢花や花壇、ウォールバスケット、寄せ植えなどに人気があります。お水忘れても丈夫、年間を通して花が咲く四季咲き性の植物です。
とっても丈夫なお花、ろくにかまってあげなくてもお水もいらず咲き続けてくれました。このところ私は、庭仕事、毎日せっせと冬支度、短く枝をつめたり、掘り上げて鉢へ移したり大忙し・・・・・
だしっぱなしのお花もそろそろ家の中へ入れてあげなくてはなりません。
のびてしまった、枝を短くつめて、切り取った枝、プランターや、植木の根元へ挿しときます。
数ヶ月前、地元のパソコンクラブで、お友達になった方がおりました。やはりお花が好きで、我が家、に来るというお約束だったのですが、その後会えませんでした。この日私が、ゼラニューム、たくさん挿し芽を作っていたのですが、偶然、玄関ドアを開けた時彼女～自転車止めて立ち止まっていました……
お話聞いたら、近じかお引越しするそう～ 私の家が分からなかったので、もう会えないと思ったがためしに通ったところだそう。。。お花の話をしていて、やはりゼラニューム、外国に窓辺にぶら下がっている風景、好き。。。だから、挿し木してみると持って行ってくれた☆
これから我家は、階段のかべに…..
私たち、ご縁があるのね。と彼女、つぶやいた！
丈夫なお花だから、きっと彼女の窓辺を飾ってくれるでしょうね～☆
なんだかとっても幸せな気持ちになりました☆
When I am not working, studying, or sleeping I enjoy keeping up with my hobbies. I do not participate in many organizations or clubs, but I do have a wide array of diverse interests. I have almost always enjoyed reading, and have a large library. I love reading science and historical fiction because It is such an entertaining way to learn. I also like to read about economics, genetics, technology, philosophy and politics. Reading poetry, particularly Zen poetry, makes me smile and always reminds me to take my life less seriously. I am always looking for new anthologies by my favorite poets: Han Shan, Basho and Ryokan. I enjoy being outdoors and try to spend as much time in the sun as I can. I like to swim laps at the beach and play tennis or spar with my friends. I also love hiking and camping in the beautiful mountain forests that we have in Hawaii.
入学までにできることをやっておこうと、最近。『臨床経穴図』という本を買い、通勤時間に少しずつ覚えている。（経穴とはツボのことで、３６１個のツボが人体に存在するといわれている）現在、１００個終了。入学までにはとりあえず全部覚えてみるつもり。
にしても、ツボとされてるとこって筋が硬くなってる部分が多くて、患者さんへの徒手にも応用できるから面白い！
