I love eating food. I think food is very interesting because there are so many different tastes. My mom likes sour food, my brother likes sweet food, my dad likes spicy food, and I like salty food. Food is very interesting because everyone has a different taste in food. I don’t like vegetables, but I love fruits. My favorite fruit is strawberries. I love unagi and edamame. I think food is very amazing because there are different types of food that came from different cultures. Food is also amusing because many people cook differently from each other. I don’t mind if my food isn’t hot and warm, as long as I have something tasty to eat. There are many different dishes that are decorated specially. Food is incredible because you can add your own ingrediants to make it taste better or worse. The ingrediants display the features of the food. You can sometimes tell what type of ingrediant was put into the food by the way it was prepared. There are so many different foods that are eaten in many different ways. I hope to try different types of food.

２月１１日は建国記念日です。かっては紀元節と云っていました。各学校では式があって、「雲にそびゆる　高千穂の　高嶺おろしに　草も木も　なびき　ふしけん　大御世を仰ぎ見ること　めでたけれ」　式では一同意味も考えないで歌ったものです。今頃の学校では、祭日休日は全部休校です。空港高速道路は人の波、離島でも田舎でもそろいの法被を着て踊りまくっています。

２月９日タクシーで清水皮膚科に行った帰途、銀天町まで歩いて行き、穴井文具店でいろいろ買いました。陽子さんの誕生祝いに良いカードが見つかりました。穴井文具店には久しぶりに行ってみて品物豊富で感心、時々見物に行こうと思ったことです。ただし、銀天町は年々人道りが減少。なにしろ大型店進出で小売店はたちゆかなくなったとか。しかし、文具店が残っていて安心しました。

Ever since I can remember, my family has been going to Camp Naue on Kaua’i every year.  It is one of my favorite places in the world.  The campground is a YMCA camp in Haena.  We stay there for about 10 days and just hang out at the beach.  The people who come to camp are all like family to me.  We go fishing, diving, hiking, reefwalking, and of course relax.

When I was a baby, the beach near camp was too rough for me, so we would go the the “end of the road.”  “The end of the road” was a beach that was at the end of the one road that almost circles Kaua’i.  There is a filled in lagoon of sorts which is very shallow and calm, so a lot of families take their children there.  There is a cave near the beach that is filled with cold fresh water, so we would visit there to rinse off afterward.

In back of the camp there is a mountain that looks just like an elephant.  So, it is called “elephant mountain.”  On the back part of the elephant, where the tail would be, there is a giant rock perched on the ridge.  We always said that is was a flea on the elephant’s butt.

Also from the camp, we can see the Bali hai rock.  I didn’t even know that it was famous until my friend from the mainland came to camp a few years ago and started taking pictures of it.

One of my favorite diving spots is in front of the Bali hai rock at a beach called tunnels.  There is a big crescent reef that sticks out into the ocean, and creates a calm lagoon on the inside.  At the edge of the reef, there is a good break, so there are a lot of surfers there.  We would dive along the inside of the reef, on the calm side.  One time, my brother in law caught a huge uhu while nightdiving, and put it on his stringer on his buoy.  When we got back to shore, only the head was left.  The head was still bigger than the rest of the fish we caught, about a 10 lb. head.  A shark had bitten it clean in half.  The sharks mouth was at least a foot wide, so we think it was a large tiger.  Pretty scary.  A few years after that, there was a girl surfing the same area, and her arm got bitten off by a shark!  I cant help but think that it was the same shark that I was swimming around with.

ケツメイシのライブに行ってきました！

大阪城ホールにて、5時半から開幕。
入る前にグッズ売り場でTシャツとタオルを購入。

3時間、テンション上がりまくりでめちゃめちゃ楽しかったです(´∀｀)
歌の合間のメンバーのトークも面白くて。ほんとにあっという間でした。

おはよ〜。あっちを見れば二日酔い、こっちを見れば酒臭い。私はひたすら眠い。。。もう5時間は寝たい。
そしてウワサに聞いたこの全身筋肉痛！！ 腕が上がりきらん。旅行…ましてやスノボー旅行なんて、完全に体力勝負やなと思いました。

午前中に2時間ほどすべって、お昼にはもうバスで帰路につきました。あっという間だったけど、充実した旅行でした。と〆にするのはまだまだ早く、バスの中ではDVD鑑賞会。しょっぱな「Life　天国で君に逢えたら」なんて見せられて、車内は鼻をすする人多発。号泣ですよ、全く…。

無事帰宅。明日から怒涛の平日5日勤。筋肉痛のこの体で明日から頑張るべ。とりあえず明日遅刻しないことが最大の目標ですな。

同期も他の人たちもみんないい人たちばっかりやなぁ〜。

中国南西部原産。

葉は披針状長楕円形で、青色の小さな花が総状に多数咲きます。群植すると涼感を感じる美しい植物です。ワスレナグサと同じ科で、和名、英名共にワスレナグサの名にチャイニーズ（シナ）が付いています。白花や濃青色花品種もあります。種子は毛があって、衣服に付着します。

暖かったのもつかのま、昨日今日と風も吹いて、
寒〜い日です。

お使い行くのは、面倒なんて言ってましたが、
こんな夜の献立は、よせ鍋〜となりました〜





食後のデザートは、長谷寺へ通りで、目に留まった、
『鎌倉いとこ』のかぼちゃと抹茶のきんつば〜です。
かぼちゃ餡の甘さ控えめで、とてもヘルシーです☆

スターケル兄弟をご紹介します。眼鏡をかけているのが２５歳のボー君、右に立っているのがまもなく１９歳のイアン君です。２人の間にもう一人、ベン君がいます。

ノーマンがノーフォークの小児科病院で働いていた頃に，患者さんとして時々診ていました。人口１６００人の小さな町の出身ですが、３人とも町の高校を卒業すると直ちに家を離れて、働きながら大学に行くという、アメリカの若者に特有の生き方をしています。

今日は、イアン君の高校卒業を祝って食事をし、メッセンジャーバッグとよぶ、ラップトップ（コンピューター）も運べるバッグをプレゼントしました。

今日は友人ナンシーさんの結婚式でした。
フランクリンさんとの出会いから結婚に至るまでのストーリーに、
会場は爆笑の渦でした。

こんなにも自然でやわらかな熟年ロマンスを見せていただくと、
こちらまで幸せになりますね。ナンシーさんフランクリンさん末永くお幸せに！！

雪国に到着。
尼崎とは全く違う世界、一面銀世界。

数時間の車内睡眠のみで早速雪山にくり出しました。

運動音痴と運動不足を兼ね備えた私は、
果たしてちょびっとでもすべれるのか？？
でも。。。
これが意外にすべれるようになったりする。
午前中で木の葉ですべれるようになりました。
…スノボーっておもしろいかも！

午後は残念ながら吹雪でリフトも止まり
視界も不良で繰り出せず。
早めの引き上げになりました。
でもその後は天然温泉へ。
雪が降る中、露天風呂

疲れた体に温泉がしみる〜。
めっちゃ気持ちいい。
夜は宴会に卓球大会！！
なんと私、ジャンケン大会で一日リフト券と一万円をゲット！！
卓球でも勝ち抜き戦優勝して1000円ゲット！！
今日の私はつき過ぎていて怖いくらいでした。
一年分の運をここで使ったのではっ！？と思うくらいに。

酔っ払ってバカ騒ぎして相当おもろかったです。
体力の続くまで、今日は長い時間充実して過ごしました。
